Finn Carr has been playing General Hospital’s Rocco Falconeri since 2022, but in 2024, the young actor was finally given the material to show what he can do, and he blew us all away. Last year, Rocco dealt with the possibility of his comatose mother dying, before the joy of seeing her awake and alive.
This past week, Rocco learned a shocking truth about how he came to be, with Finn Carr earning Soap Central’s accolades for General Hospital’s Performer of the Week.
Rocco’s shock and horror
Rather than festering for weeks with some news he learned about his origin story, Rocco decided to take the bull by the horns and just ask his mother what really happened when he was born (with a little encouragement from Emma). Yes, Rocco was freaking out as he asked, as any teenager would after just finding some shocking and confusing information.

After Lulu (Alexa Havins) called Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) over to explain that Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) stole Rocco when he was just an embryo and gave birth to him, Carr turned in a raw and heartbreaking performance as Rocco absorbed what his parents were telling him. You could hear the pain and disbelief in his voice, as well as see it on his face.
Rocco now knew something he never imagined in his life, which is a lot for anyone to take in, much less a 16-year-old boy, and it was clear that Carr was well aware of this. He imbued Rocco with a sense of maturity as he listened to his parents’ unbelievable tale. But we also saw the boy in him who had to process all this new information at once.
General Hospital’s Rocco searches for answers

Rocco was smart enough to know his parents couldn’t be objective when describing Britt, so he turned to the most objective person who knew — stone-cold mob hitman Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Jason admitted he wasn’t around when Britt stole embryo Rocco, but he knew a different side of her. The Britt who Jason felt for regretted her actions, leading to growth and change.
Carr showed us Rocco’s relief as he learned the woman who gave birth to him and cared for him the first seven months of his life wasn’t a monster after all, but a complicated woman. As Britt (or at least a lookalike) is slated to turn up on GH again this summer, we can’t wait to see what else Carr does with this story.
